Our Adoption Update

Nothing.  (Pretty disappointing huh?)  For the past 10 days we have woken up every morning to check the email to see if we have been approved to get Silas.

God is still teaching me through this adoption.  Here is the latest breakthrough.

I have been praying that God would give our family peace with whatever decision is made.  Of course I want Silas to join our family.  Trust me.  I have no words to describe how much I want that for me, Silas, Mindy, Gracie, Will, and Eden.  Nevertheless I have been praying that God would give us peace no matter what direction this goes.

Now I have changed my prayer.  I am praying that God will use this situation to be glorified.  When we get that email to bring Silas home there will be gobs of people that are absolutely shocked that we got Him here.  Lots of people think that we will not get to bring him home.  Of course Mindy and I have been going through our doubts as well.  So in order for Silas to get here it would have to be an act of God.  Good thing that I am praying to God.

Notice the date of this blog (for future reference).  When Silas gets here with this family it will be a testament to God.  God planted the seed of adoption into Mindy's heart.  God provided the wonderful, beautiful Godly people of the Orphanage to work with us.  God provided the money.  God provided the month away.  God provided the 5 more weeks for Mindy.  God provides the strength.  The God who began a good work in you will see it through to completion!  May God be glorified.

Please keep praying with us.
